Mount Batur reviews from our guests

We travelled with my parents, so hiking was not an option. The jeep took us to the viewpoint in time for sunrise and the driver knew every good photo spot in the lava field.

I am not a morning person, so the day trek was perfect. Clear views of the crater and Lake Batur, and we were back at the hotel for lunch.

Quiet trail, tea and Balinese cakes on the summit and a sky that turned orange and pink. Walking down by headlamp was an adventure in itself.

The team set up the tent and cooked dinner while we watched the sunset. Waking up above the clouds and opening the tent to the sunrise is something I will never forget.

Pickup was on time at 2 a.m. and the guide took great photos of us. Having the guide to ourselves made the climb feel easy.
